I'm no seaming prodigy (but Jenn, thanks for the thoughts) but damn if I am not making it not-totally-suck. I really hope I can finish this before I go to my mom's... it would be lovely to have a cardi to throw on...
Oh, and fear not, I am hoping to learn how to use this software better soon, get thumbnails up and links to other blogs of friends and cool funny people. This is my last week of work, and then I can focus on the backlog of stuff! Hooray!
Negative must be the description of how well I'd fit into such a tight sweater... this is she, before frogging...
I added some stitches, then added some more, then switched to 2 needle sizes bigger. Next time I photograph this hopefully it'll look better--special thanks to Trillian42 from knitty who is helping me figure out short rows. Yay! So long, and thanks for all the fish.
Ok so the idea was to make something I could wear a bra with, but still fun summery and haltery. This isn't it. Well, it might be but the bra I kept trying it on with wouldn't work, and I sewed the lining in and should've shortened the straps more--but good news, I can wear my strapless with it. Because I can tell you are all worried and need that kind of detail about my wardrobe to make your lives complete.
Here it is, pink, sparkly, hopefully not tacky. No gold lame pants, Suz.
And Bessie, my duct-tape non-double, doesn't approximate me very well. For one thing she seems to be pregnant. I suspect the treadmill, he's been eyeing her appreciatively.
